The RIBHO home-visiting program provides a means of delivering food on a regular basis to people who are unable to leave their homes or whose physical conditions or home support would otherwise preclude the consistent provision of meals necessary for their nutritional needs during recovery. The visiting team is trained to not only offer food, but to help the recipient maintain social contact to hasten recuperation during convalescence.
Home-visits are one way we obtain useful information and find extra help for persons in need of additional health services in the home.
In the last 2 years, RIBHO has been working on the development of free food delivery services to hospitalized patients and their caretakers in need of a little help.
